Welcome to the offical site of the Blasket Commemoration. The theme for this year's Commemoration, which was held in the Blascaod Centre between 10-12 October, was'Immigration and Emigration', with special reference to emigration from the Blasket to the United States.

The organising committee is also arranging an occasion to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of the author Peig Sayers. A series of events will be held in Dún Chaoin on the 7 December 2008. More details here.
